Post subject:  Safety of cell phone camera

Hello there, I'm going to book a trip soon.

I was wondering the effects of radiation on cell phones. I don't have a camera, and was just going to use my iPhone to take photos. However, it would seem to me that it would be radioactive after a visit. Is this the case? Would it be better to get a disposable camera instead? Or would putting it in a sealed plastic bag during the time at Chernobyl keep it safe? I don't want to damage the phone and also bring unwanted "souvenirs" back to the US.

Thanks!

Hi!
Your phone will be fine if you're not going to put it on the ground.
If you follow the safety rules, then nothing will happen.

Depends on what ground it is. Nothing might happen, or a radioactive particle can get on the surface or even inside.
