Hello there.. :hi:

I have a question.. If the trip to the Zone is "absolutely radiation safe", then why do the passengers need to sign 2 documents that they won't have any claims to the Chernobyl zone administration and trip organizers if their health deteriorates "which may or may not occur during/after the trip."

If the trip is 100% safe, then this exclusion of liability would be unnecessary, am I right?

Hi.

If you'll follow all recommendations, you'll never have any problems with radiation or something else. But if you're crazy and for example will drink water from cooling pond, or so on, you MAY get some troubles. So this is usual practice, "protection against fool" :)

Thank you for your answer.

I have another question.. On this picture here we can see a group of ecologists on a two day tour wearing masks.. https://www.chernobyl-tour.com/photo/80 ... sc5089.jpg I was planing on taking a two day trip to the zone as well..

I'm not sure why are they wearing masks? Is there a possibility that we might need to wear those maskes at one point, and if so are they provided to us by trip organisors?

Thanks in advance!

Our trip organisors have a lot of experience in contrast to these ecologists who have theoretical knowledge, but they don't know what is real situation.
You have to wear this mask if there is a radioactive dust. Over 20 years winds and rains made open surfaces free from radioactive dust, so you can breath without any masks.

What about ecologists - they like protective clothes, so you can see they not only in masks, but even fully equipped too :)
